I made great money.
I brought my husband home from work.
We bought a big, beautiful (and let’s be honest — expensive) house where our little family and my husband’s parents could all live together.
I covered our insurance.
I was the breadwinner… for two families.
From the outside, I was winning.
But on the inside, something was breaking.
And it finally snapped the day I got a video.
A simple video of my baby… taking her first steps.
I wasn’t there.
That Was the Moment Everything Changed
I watched that video on repeat — and cried.
She was walking. Wobbling. Giggling.
Everyone was clapping. Cheering.
Everyone except me… because I wasn’t in the room.
I was at work. Again.
